MSI PCs come with a management program called Dragon Center. When looking at the CPU usage in task manager, it says 100% all the time, while basically in idle. Once powered up, the CPU fan starts running loudly at high speed, and never slows down. The next time he restarted, the PC took a long time to boot up. So he downloaded the Windows Update Assistant tool, and did it manual, which seemed to work. It has had a couple issues over the years, but just recently it was having issues doing the latest Windows 10 update, it would always fail just at the 100% mark.

Next go to the microsoft store and install MSI CENTER, follow all the prompts and once installed it will ask you to restart your pc, restart it.Īfter restarting msi center will open, if it doesnt you should see it on task bar, click it to open, once opened follow all the prompts and install the features you will be using!
Once your pc restarts please go back to add or remove programs and uninstall MSI CENTER SDK, as soon as it is uninstalled restart your pc(very important) Start by going to add or remove programs and uninstall MSI CENTER, as soon as it is uninstalled restart your pc(very important) That didn't work either, so I followed the following steps: I then installed all the drivers I hadn't yet from the support / live update ( but none of the advanced stuff ). Then out of nowhere certain feature sets would not update/install. I had MSI center and companion app installed on my PC and all was well.
